THE ENTIRE FARM IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
Thank you to all our great customers and staff for another fruitful season! The 2016 season presented a few challenges- hard freezes this winter, severe frosts in the spring, and a drought for the record books – but in the end the season was successful thanks to lots of hard work from our staff and our many dedicated customers! Have a great off season and Happy Holidays! See you in June for strawberry picking!
Our barnyard, playground, and farm kitchen are family friendly activities all will enjoy. After apple picking, come visit the barnyard to see the goats climb their mountain of stone and then enjoy farm fresh homemade baked goods, ice cream, and apple cider donuts at the Tougas Farm Kitchen. Fun for the whole day, a perfect Massachusetts vacation & New England experience.
Strawberries are ready in June, but do you know when our Honeycrisp™ apples are ripe for picking? Check out our fruit seasons page and join our mailing list to see when our fruit crops are ready for you to come out to the farm to pick!
PICK YOUR OWN GUIDELINES
Always check the Facebook feed or call the picking information line (508) 393-6406 for up to date picking information before coming out to the farm
Please observe all rules and read our signs for the benefit of all of our customers and our farm
Always check in at the PYO shed first to get picking locations and information.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, Children must be accompanied by an adult, and must be under proper supervision and control.
If you drop any fruit on the ground, we ask that you please make every effort to pick it up and purchase it so that no fruit is wasted. Many labor-intensive hours go into the care of our crops. Wastefulness is un-ecological, and frustrating to our growers!
Pick only the amount of fruit that you are prepared to pay for. We can’t put it back on the plant.
A sample is ok, gluttony is not.
Pets are not allowed on the farm due to health regulations
All apples must fit inside the bag you purchased at the PYO Entrance
Please do not bring outside bags into the orchard, only Tougas Farm apple bags
that includes shopping bags, backpacks, beach bags
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather, don’t forget hats and sunscreen!
We recommend wearing close-toed shoes good for walking on uneven ground, as bees, hornets and yellow jackets may be present on fallen fruit, as are sticks in the walk aisles.
Please pick only in designated areas, which are carefully selected based on the ripening schedule of our fruit.
Do not climb or shake the trees. This will damage fruit and can break tree limbs.
If two or three fruits are clustered together, use two hands and gently pick all the fruit in the cluster.
Please dispose of trash in proper receptacles
Please be considerate of all of our customers and observe our non-smoking policy.
